Step by step!

Here eyes are focused. Her hands in the right position. In one hand a needle, in the other the white wire. It's not easy, but she is willing to learn how to get this tiny wire into that small eye of the needle. She's trying again. Her face serious, but finally her face relaxes, yes she's did it! I speak out how proud i am, and she smiles!

We are at the needle class in the community centre of Vila Dias. Every friday the children learn step by step how to sew. The last weeks we worked on a cool hairband. We started to practice how to put the wire in the needle. And we sewed the decoration for the hairband. Sometimes it is not so easy to learn new things. And sometimes it costs some frustration. But with encouragement and patience they learn. And we see girls being proud of what they created. And next class they will be ready for something new, to expand their skills.
