How much is it?

First you need to go to the bank, to withdraw some money. You have to say "i need money".
If you are ready you go to the supermarket to do some shopping and then you ask "how much is this"

This morning we are not at a shopping mall but we are at the communitycentre in Vila Dias, every week on thursday we are teaching the children of the slum the english language.

In the classroom we see a table with a banker, and with a serious face he's counting the money.
We see two people working in their little shop to make it ready for the customers, who will surely come this morning.
And on their way to the bank two customers with each a shopping-back in their hands...

Good morning "i need money" the customer asked. "how much money do you need" the banker replies. It's difficult to remember the numbers.... but happily the banker understands!

It's not easy to pronounce the words correctly.. but they are brave enough to speak it out loud.

The little shop is ready to receive their customers. And they want to sell a lot of things off course. And the customers are willing to buy almost everything from the shop.
They ask "how much is it"? The shop owners start to count all the prices. The money is to less for all the things they want to buy, but the banker is willing to give some more.

So great to see how these children enjoying this practical class. And the fun is important but it's also helping them to multiply their knowledge: in America you pay with dollars. It's building on their self esteem, knowing that they are able to learn a new language.

How much is it? It's priceless!
